Located in the heart of Tribeca, Washington Market Tavern is focused on providing tapas style experience and artisanal cocktails with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients allowing for an ever-evolving menu. Executive Chef Aksel Theilkuhl has united with beverage director Stephen King (no, not THAT Stephen King!) and local restauranteur Eric Schwimmer to create a modern American menu that is full of refreshed tavern classics that are both worldly and approachable. Some of the signature dishes are ramp-stuffed chicken brined for 24 hours, lamb tartare, cauliflower “popcorn,” foie gras served two ways, spring carrots, lamb loin, and baked oysters with bacon.
