Saturday and Sunday NYC Brunch Pick: Alders
UPDATE: Closed as of September 2015
Alders is a casual restaurant in the East Village from the pioneer of molecular gastronomy, chef Wylie Dufresne, famous for his artful, creative cuisine at WD-50. It is a modern American version of the English pub, or the French bistro, where no dish will exceed $25.
The brunch menu brings equally inventive flair with bacon-egg-and-cheese gyoza, Bloody Mary popcorn, and scrambled eggs with smoked trout and brown butter. Try also, Alder's take on pigs in blankets or a high-concept pizza bagel.
