'Constellations' on Broadway, With Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson

Calling it “…the most sophisticated date play Broadway has seen” by New York Times, Constellations tells the romantic story of the meeting of a Bookeeper Roland (Gyllenhaal) and Quantum Physicist Marianne (Wilson) and the magic that happens between them that challenges the boundaries of the world as we know it and explores the ideas of choice and destiny.

The story is a new play from Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst and Constellations received immense praise from critics when it ran in London, It is performing for first time in New York City and featuring the Broadway debut of Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.

This mesmerizing, romantic journey begins with a simple encounter between a man and a woman (Gyllenhaal and Wilson). The Rest of the relationship however defies the boundaries of the world we think we know – delving into the series of scenarios of how their relationship might turn out in parallel universes and raising questions about the difference between choice and destiny.
